TAMPA, Fla., April 28, 2024 –The University of South Florida softball team (31-20, 11-13 AAC) fell to the Florida Atlantic Owls (38-13, 18-6 AAC) in the series finale on Sunday afternoon in front of a season-high 1,681 fans. The Bulls fell with a final score of 6-2.
The 1,681 fans in attendance was the highest all season for the Bulls. In the fall, the Bulls had an attendance of 1,637 when they hosted the Puerto Rico National Team.
Florida Atlantic took the 5-0 lead in the first two innings. After making two impressive defensive plays in the top half of the third inning, (Tampa) led the bottom of the third inning off with a single.
